Driving Instructions for Old Leura Dairy from Sydney.

1. Join the M4 Freeway from Parramatta Road Strathfield or at any number of points further west. Stay on the Freeway following the signs to Penrith. Continue on past the Penrith exits.

2. Shortly after passing Penrith you begin the climb into the Blue Mountains and soon will see black and white signs indicating the end of the M4 and commencement of the Great Western Highway (32). Old Leura Dairy is approximately 40 km from this point. You will pass through or by a number of small villages such as Glenbrook, Springwood, and Lawson. Speed limits vary so be aware. Wentworth Falls is the village immediately before Leura.

3. After passing through Wentworth Falls continue on the highway until you reach a large blue sign indicating Leura Mall; Leura Village Centre. Take this off ramp to the top and turn right (away from the village shopping centre) through the traffic circle. Then take the first left onto Den Hogan Drive (10 meters from traffic circle and it looks like an on ramp to the highway) and follow this road until you reach a fork in the road. The right hand road of this fork is Mount Street and will lead you to the corner of Kings Road. Old Leura Dairy is located on your left and fronts onto Mount Street, Kings Road and Eastview Avenue. The reception is located on the Eastview Avenue side of the dairy and the hours are variable but are generally Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

Driving instructions to old Leura Dairy from the West

1. You will be driving through the Blue Mountains on the Great Western Highway. At the top of the mountain range is the township of Mount Victoria. Continuing down the mountain you will arrive at Blackheath, then Medlow Bath and finally Katoomba which is the town immediately before Leura. Still on the Great Western Highway you will pass the Edge Cinema on your left and eventually see (also on your left) a large sign indicating Leura Mall. Immediately after this sign is a little dogleg on your left that will take you into Eastview Avenue. Take this exit and follow the road to the right all the way to the bottom of the street until you reach the corner of Kings Road. The office is located on this corner on the right and fronts onto Eastview Avenue.

We are a 1.5 hour drive west of Sydney on the M4 Freeway and Great Western Highway.

Rail link with Sydney.
CityRail air-conditioned double-decker passenger trains provide regular services between Sydney and the Blue Mountains. CityRail also has a service from the international and domestic airport terminals. This service will take you to Central Station where you will transfer to the train to Leura.

Bus and Coach transfers.
Sydney Buses
Dedicated Airport Express buses, with provision for luggage, operate from the international & domestic airport terminals to Sydney City, stopping at Central Railway Station. Disembark at Central (Eddy Avenue) & walk to the country platforms for trains to the Blue Mountains.
